What one does daily is their life!! It's not the destination but the journey, and all the people, experiences, and adventures along the way that make an interesting and stimulating life. I am a retired Clinical Social Worker and Healthcare Manager who travelled and worked in several foreign countries for my work. I now work in Real Estate which gives me the flexibility of continuing travel, language studies, meeting many cultures. Travel has been my aphrodisiac since I was a teenager reading travel magazines, which I continue to do as a mature adult today. Earlier in my travels, I just savored the experience, no note taking, and could not remember the names of charming places, how to get back there, etc. I have recently started keeping notes, cards, and directed my friends to where I found such bargains and experiences. I now study the language of most places I travel, and find the experience of easier communication so much more rewarding. Since friends were so interested in the stories I had to tell after traveling and studying for 4-6 weeks in a region, I started planning for them, and a learning vacations business was born, where I plan, arrange, and take care of all the logistics of planning and booking fun learning vacations for small groups. I design an iteniary on their terms, remind them of deadlines they have to do certain things before travel dates, information about the countries in which we travel, purchase city to city train tickets, meet them at our destination train station or airport when they travel from various origins at various dates, provide a brief biography and photo of our companion travellers, and pair personality with personality if rooms are shared. My travels benefits transfer to my work, allowing me a window into a broad range of cultural preferences and idiosynchricies.
All the world!
