I am an explorer, adventurer and travel writer from the Himalayan country of Nepal. I have lead and organized almost all treks and tours in the Himalayas of Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan. I love exploring new destinations and helping people by promoting sustainable tourism. This we do as a team with organizations like 'Nepal Tourism Board', 'Nepal Mountaineering Association', Trekking Agents Association of Nepal and other local clubs. Some of the projects we did were 'Tamang Heritage Trail', Tsum Valley and Fulkharka Agritourism ( [Link Removed] ). In last 15 years we have seen rapid change in demographic structure of hills and Himalayas. People especially youths are moving to cities creating shortage of labor in agriculture. So the production is decreasing and terraces are being abandoned. In such scenario, agritourism, agricultural volunteering, farmstay, homestay combined with short treks and hikes could garner supplementary income for farmers. By diversification in production different region could have different attractions for tourism.
