I'm a performer, music maven, and cultural worker. I've worked a myriad of jobs, from assembling high-end amplifiers to documentary filmmaking to costumed interpreter at a living history museum.
I've made my mind up to do a lot more travelling, and have just come back from a work trip to New York City. I'm booked to go to Morocco in November, and am full of anticipation. I'm going to be travelling solo, and am just about getting to the point of being tired of hearing from everyone about how horrible and difficult it's going to be. I'm looking for sensible advice from people who've actually travelled there, not fear-mongering from people who've never set foot in Africa.
Update: Morocco was terrific! Paris was pretty good, too.
