I'm Daniel, one of Lonely Planet's Asia experts. I specialise in China, where I live (Beijing, to be precise.. in one of those little alleys behind the Drum Tower), and India, where I've been travelling to, on and off, since the mid 1990s.
I've written or co-written more than two dozen guidebooks for Lonely Planet (see the full list below), plus a whole bunch of online travel articles. I'm also a co-host of the Lonely Planet TV series, Best in China. And (as if that wasn't enough) I'm also the author of the truly magnificent iPhone App, Beijing on a Budget. Download it. You'll love it. Trust me.
Find out more stuff on my website, where you can contact me if you'd like me to create a personalised itinerary for YOUR big trip.
Stuck for inspiration? Check out my 'on-the-road videos', which I make whilst doing research for Lonely Planet.
Or simply track me down on Twitter (@danielmccrohan) to ask me anything you like about China, India, Bangladesh, Mongolia, etc.. etc..
