As a Lonely Planet writer I've updated at least 15 guidebooks, mostly Mexico and Latin America but also Spain and The Netherlands. I've also translated books, text for museum exhibits and numerous magazine articles from Mexican Spanish to English. I'm a native Brooklynite, but early on began to roam, living for extended periods in Colombia, Portugal, Spain, Puerto Rico and Mexico. Before becoming an LP writer, I worked as a newspaper and magazine editor and taught English as a second/foreign language for eight years. I'm an avid cyclist and chose the Netherlands as my home in 2010. Since then I've cycled all over the country, as described on my blog.
