I was born 81 years ago in a paradise called Hawai'i. Waikiki, then rustic and unspoiled, was my everyday playground. As an adult, I shunned beaches and went searching for forests and mountains. In the interim, i taught courses in world history and geography. In my early retirement years my second "home" was Kathmandu and the Himalaya. I am now back to my roots in Hawai'i Nei...enjoying the company of my 3 "chop suey" grandkids.
