Hi! I worked for years with NatGeo Travel Publishing as an editor and writer until October 2015, when I left to go freelance full-time. A California native, I write about travel for various publications, including Los Angeles Times, National Geographic, Fodors.com, London Telegraph, and Lonely Planet. I am in the process of launching my own digital magazine, JOY OF TRAVEL. When I'm not traveling, I'm residing in Arlington, VA, with my husband and cat; teaching Creative Nonfiction and Travel Writing; and running and biking along DC's tree-shaded trails.
