I am a 29 year old divorced man who is usually a solo traveller. Love to just grab my bag and jump on a plane, doesn't really matter where. I pride myself on always being able to find a place to fit in.
I have traveled throughout North and Central America, the Caribbean, Eastern and Western Europe and the Pacific. I would love to see Australia, South America, Asia, Northern Africa and the Middle and Far East.
My last trip was to Europe for about 4 months. Eastern Europe in the winter was a blast!! I got the bug hard and have spent my time since last winter saving everything I could to attempt a more major trip. At the start of 2014 I will be starting to sell my worldly possessions and will be setting out on a round-the-world adventure with a new travel and life companion. Most people will surely call my plans foolish, but I care not what others think because I have travelled and I know what I am attempting. Our goal is to spend at least the next 10 years on the road. My investments here in the states will be able to bring in around $300 a day in income while traveling which will be in addition to the just over $100k I have saved as an emergency fund. I travel light and cheap (did my 4 months in Europe solo for $34 a day, including transportation costs) and I am hoping this trip I will be able to splurge for those once in a lifetime experiences.
If you are an experienced long-haul traveller I would love to hear any advise or suggestions you may have, just message me!
