We are a cross-cultural travelling couple. An Englishman and a Canadian. A Caucasian and a Eurasian.
We are slow travellers – preferring to take our time and try to experience a place on a deeper level. We enjoy getting work visas and living temporarily in a foreign environment. We prefer hitchhiking over bus tours. And we grab up every opportunity to savour outdoor activities. We are also conscientious travellers, and we keep on the look out for volunteer activities while we are abroad as well as doing our part to help our local entrepreneurs in the countries we visit through our Kiva micro-lending team. We also are mindful of our environmental impact of our travelling lifestyles, which means we have to be mindful of ways to offset some of the more carbon intensive aspects of globetrotting.
We dream big dreams
Our next “big trip” is going to be an adventure of epic proportions, as we attempt to go from Australia to the UK almost entirely overland. Included in this trip we hope to visit many of the pacific islands, participate in a long distance horse trek in Mongolia, and possibly get working holiday visas in Hong Kong.
