Diving became his passion when Will first learned to dive in 1998 on Australia's Great Barrier Reef. On his first dive, he marveled at the underwater realm and the meditative state of near-weightlessness. Safely stored in the back of his mind was the idea of becoming a dive instructor some day. He never forgot that moment of possibility.
In 2008, after 8 years in the classroom as a school teacher in Canada, Will decided to take that leap of faith, heading to Southeast Asia to combine his love of teaching with scuba diving. This was a very good idea. Will is now an IDC Staff Instructor with PADI, and would love to share the ocean with you. Will was recently recognized by PADI as an Education Leader for June 2012.
While on dry land, Will spends his time relaxing with Cynthia and friends, meeting great people, and enjoying decent conversation over a Leo beer or two. He also enjoys underwater photography, guitar, yoga and meditation.
