Originally from Holland, but I have been living abroad for the last 10+ years. My first move was to South Africa, this is where I met my wife and we had our baby. Before his first birthday we moved to Berlin in Germany, we stuck it out there for nearly three years to move back to South Africa, and we could only stay for about a year and now we live in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
To earn money I develop and design software solutions, these include web site solutions, desktop software and mobile applications. For fun I read, I like to take pictures, and everyday after work I shoot some hoops with my five year old boy.
Being Dutch enables me to easily travel where ever I want to, and married to a South African gives us the challenges, but mainly experience, a lot of people face globally with regards to visas and entry permits.
As a child my parents took us every summer holiday to France for camping trips, they also took us to Switzerland, Portugal, Spain. I have tavelled to the US as well, and I been to London. As a parent now myself I want to show my son as much as possible, and as a husband I want to share all of it with my wife.
I think it's important to travel, to see where we are from, to learn who we are as humans, and what it means to be an Earthling, rather than just being Dutch or South African.
