I used to practice law. I gave it up to travel, give back to humanity, and find myself again through faith, living and writing. I am currently on a RTW trip, which started in September 2012 and will end when the money runs out or God sends me home (or both). I plan to spend the first 5-6 months from Mexico through Central America and onto South America. My "itinerary" is not set in stone; I more inclined to see where life takes me.
I prefer places with some basic necessities, but I don't need fancy (I left that behind in America). I hope to make my money stretch as much as possible. I will be staying primarily in hostels, with an occasional hotel here and there. I am volunteering some of my time and writing a book about my life and travels, so I can't spend every day sightseeing or traveling.
I look forward to my first Central and/or South American bus adventure, as I've heard they're popular, safe and economical. We shall see!
I enjoy history, art, beaches, adventure and local food. I would not say that I am an adventure-seeker, but some off-the-beaten-path stuff is fun. I prefer to enjoy a new place for a bit before moving on and am most decidedly NOT a whirlwind sort of sightseer. I like cities as well as rural places and a good balance of both is ideal.
